A more than 20-year interest in orthopedics by Dr. Wilson has culminated in the development of North Macomb Canine Rehabilitation and Conditioning. The goal of this facility is to return pets to an active and PAIN FREE life after injury.
Over the years Dr. Wilson has attended many seminars and workshops to learn the newest techniques in orthopedic surgery. In 2007 he performed 580 orthopedic surgeries, 380 of which involved the knee.
The expansion of Wilson Veterinary Hospital in 2008 brings a new state-of-the-art orthopedic wing. A separate surgical suite has been specifically designed for orthopedics, allowing us to control the environment.
In addition, a canine rehabilitation hydrotherapy room has been added to assist with post-operative recovery and conditioning. This unique room contains an underwater treadmill and a resistance swimming pool.
